I thought the ESP/LTD serials in recent years are made like this, let's take my EX400 as an example: W0714153 W is the factory, don't know the name of it unfortunately. 07 is the year, being 2007 in this case 14 is the week of the year, being the week of 2-8th of april 1 is the day of the week the guitar was made, Monday. 53 is the 53rd guitar of that day, in that particular factory. According to this my guitar was 2nd of april 2007.

I'm not sure though. This probably does not apply to the Signature and the Custom Shop models.
